Limiting Factors
A limiting factor in a system is an input or variable such that a small change in it from the present value would cause a non-negligible change in an output or other measure of the system.
Limiting factors are basically all of the things that limit the population of a species or community from turning into an overpopulated community. Stuff such as lack of food, lack of shelter, lack of water or space, also disease, parasitism, predation, and weather are some of the factors that don't allow their to be an over population, or in other words, a limiting factor.
Food-any nutritious substance that people or animals eat or drink, or that plants absorb, in order to maintain life and growth.
Shelter-a place giving temporary protection from bad weather or danger.
Water-a colorless, transparent, odorless, tasteless liquid that forms the seas, lakes, rivers, and rain and is the basis of the fluids of living organisms.
Space-a continuous area or expanse that is free, available, or unoccupied.
Disease-a disorder of structure or function in a human, animal, or plant, especially one that produces specific signs or symptoms or that affects a specific location and is not simply a direct result of physical injury.
Parasitism- is a non-mutual symbiotic relationship between species, where one species, the parasite, benefits at the expense of the other, the host. Traditionally parasite referred primarily to organisms visible to the naked eye. Even though it would benefit the parasite to not kill it's host, the parasite tends to damage the host until the point of death unless it is removed.
Predation-the preying of one animal on others.
Weather-the state of the atmosphere at a place and time as regards heat, dryness, sunshine, wind, rain, etc.
